ABERDEEN – Two transport companies and their driver report settlement of a federal lawsuit against them.
Harold Isbell and Cynthia Wells, who lived in Alcorn County, claimed they deserved payment for actual damages, his loss of spousal consortium and punitive damages, among other things.
On Feb. 13, 2008, a tractor trailer crashed into the rear of a motor vehicle Isbell was driving and Wells was a passenger near the intersection of Highway 72 East and Fulton Drive in Corinth.
Mark D. Hentze of Davenport, Iowa, was the driver of the truck.
The lawsuit was moved to federal court March 28 from a Feb. 11 filing in Alcorn County.
