TUPELO – Two Tupelo men died overnight in a one-vehicle crash.
Jeremy New and Robert Sullins, both 21, died when the truck they were riding in crashed into a tree.
According to Lee County Coroner Carolyn Gillentine-Green, the crash was on Bissell Road around midnight Saturday. Lee County Sheriff Jim Johnson said his department received a 911 call of an accident on County Road 251 at 12:30 a.m.
It appears the driver lost control of the vehicle, Johnson said.
Gillentine-Green said neither man was wearing a seat belt.
Sullins was a volunteer firefighter for Sherman and the Longview community.
