ABERDEEN – A May 14 trial date is set for an Iuka man accused of shooting a bald eagle.
William “Bill” Branum, 78, faces a two-count federal indictment.
If he’s convicted, he would face up to 18 months in prison and $200,000 in fines.
Branum was indicted Sept. 21 and was appointed a federal public defender counsel.
He pleaded not guilty at his arraignment and is free on his own recognizance.
