CRENSHAW — Four people have died in a mobile home fire Friday in Crenshaw on the Panola-Quitman county line in north Mississippi.
Panola County Coroner Gracie Grant-Gulledge says the four, all adults, were pronounced dead at the scene.
She says eight others were hurt, but none of the injuries were thought to be life threatening. One was taken to the Regional Medical Center in Memphis, Tenn., and the others were taken to Tri-Lakes Hospital in Batesville. Their conditions were not available.
Gulledge says authorities were not yet releasing names of the victims.
Sheriff Otis Griffin says the fire broke out just after 4 a.m. in the single-wide trailer. Griffin says authorities are investigating what caused the fire.
