WALNUT – Tippah County authorities seized over 40 marijuana plants in Walnut on Friday.

Phillip Patrick Krauss, 52, of 2330 CR 100, Walnut, was arrested in connection to the plants. Investigators say the plants were found in three locations at or near his residence.

The confiscation and arrest were carried out by Investigator Tommy Mason, Investigator Josh Bateman and Deputy Richard Bryant of the Tippah County Sheriff’s Department.

Krauss is awaiting arraignment, and no bond has been set.

    The good folks in Walnut can sleep much better knowing this dangerous merrywanna growing heathen is off the market.
    Certainly there is more pressing criminal activity in Tippah Co deserving the attention of actual lawmen, rather than involving Keystone Kops in such a folly.
