ABERDEEN – The board of alderman recently gave approval to the Aberdeen Police Department to sell five drug-seized cars and three surplus police cars.
Police Chief Henry Randle said the revenue from the sale of the five seized cars could net possibly $6,000 to $7,500.
The police cars were approved for sale at fair-market value.
Aldermen approved the purchase of two new service trucks and agreed to look at the purchase of a third vehicle at a later date.
The next board meeting will be 5 p.m. Dec. 20, at City Hall.
