Absentee ballots still available in Tupelo

TUPELO – With nearly 200 absentee ballots cast Thursday, voters have until noon Saturday to vote absentee in the general election that will decide Tupelo’s next mayor.
City Hall’s election office will open from 8 a.m. until noon Saturday for absentee voting. Otherwise, voters will have to vote in Tuesday’s general election with candidates Fred Pitts, Republican, and Jason Shelton, Democrat, facing each other.
