TUPELO – Today is the final day for voters to cast absentee ballots for Tuesday’s Lee County School District bond election. Those wishing to do so can vote between 8 a.m. and noon in the circuit clerk’s office on the first floor of the Lee County Justice Center.
The election is for those who live in the Lee County School District. As of Friday afternoon, only 14 absentee ballots had been cast.
The district is requesting permission to issue $13.5 million in new bonds. It would not result in a tax increase.
