JACKSON — Authorities have shut down what they call an elaborate marijuana growing operation inside a Jackson home.
Sheriff’s deputies, police and federal and state drug agents seized 86 plants Friday with an estimated street value of $325,000. Investigators say the plants were being grown under ultraviolet lights, a process that generally takes three months to reach harvest.
Arrested at the home was 33-year-old Zachary Johnson. He is being held on a charge of manufacture of marijuana. A court hearing is scheduled Monday.
