WASHINGTON – Airports in Booneville and New Albany have received grants from the FAA Airport Improvement Program for support hangar construction projects, Sens. Thad Cochran and Roger Wicker announced Monday.
The FAA approved a $150,204 grant for Booneville-Baldwyn Airport in Prentiss County and a $124,500 award for New Albany-Union County Airport.
Additionally, the Corinth-Alcorn County Airport was awarded a grant of $247,808 for drainage improvements, replacement of the existing automatic weather system and other projects.
The grant funds will be matched by the state at $6,521, while Corinth and Alcorn County will jointly provide a match in the same amount.
