TISHOMINGO COUNTY – An Alabama man was charged with kidnapping and aggravated assault after authorities allege he dragged the mother of his child with his vehicle.

Steven Carlos Noyola, 19, of Cherokee, Ala., was charged with aggravated assault, kidnapping and felony child abuse Tuesday.

Tishomingo County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a woman at the Hoover rock quarry Tuesday who had been assaulted with a vehicle and had her baby taken.

Later, a vehicle matching description was stopped and the driver, Noyola, was taken into custody.

The woman alleged she brought Noyola lunch and let him see the baby at which time Noyola took the baby from her car and placed it in his own vehicle. The woman allegedly grabbed the steering wheel of Noyola’s vehicle to get him to stop but he drove off, dragging her.
