Alcorn Central Middle School principal's firing becomes broader issue

By NEMS Daily Journal

CORINTH – The Alcorn County principal who was suspended Feb. 11, while the school district investigated a complaint has been fired, according to the Daily Corinthian.
Dan Burcham, who was principal of Alcorn Central Middle School, was fired Wednesday, school district attorney Jimmy Price told the newspaper.
The school district has revealed no information about who filed the complaint about Burcham or the nature of the complaint, and the secrecy has prompted attorney Joseph Wallace to launch a website at www.alcorncentralclaims.com.
Wallace told the Daily Corinthian he has heard from parents through the website seeking more disclosure.
