Alcorn County school leader taking new job

CORINTH – Alcorn County Assistant Superintendent Wayne Henry will leave his position at the end of June and become principal of a McNairy County, Tenn., school on July 1.
Henry has spent almost three decades with Alcorn County and Corinth school districts, although he is a McNairy County native who has continued to live on his family’s property there throughout his work life in Alcorn County.
He leaves his second stint with Alcorn County after five years as assistant superintendent, having previously served 10 years as Kossuth High School principal and five years as Corinth High School Principal. His new position is principal of Michie School, a kindergarten through eighth grade school in Michie, Tenn.
