CORINTH — Alcorn County’s first public hearing on a proposed 2012 budget is set for Sept. 15.
The Daily Corinthian reported county supervisors are considering a budget with no change in the tax rate, which will hold at 105.76 mills, including 53 mills for county operations and 52.76 mills for the Alcorn School District.
The board tightened the belt on the proposed budget, with most line items staying the same or seeing decreases
The county projects 2012 expenses of about $19 million.
