Alcorn officials agree to collaborate for growth

CORINTH – The Alcorn County Board of Supervisors, with three newly-elected members, the city of Corinth mayor and aldermen and the Farmington mayor came together for an informal reception Friday presented by Cook Coggin Engineers.
Corinth Mayor Tommy Irwin, Farmington Mayor Dale Fortenberry and Board of Supervisors President Lowell Hinton spoke on behalf of each of their constituencies, vowing to work cooperatively on economic development and other common issues and challenges.
On behalf of Cook Coggin, which was appointed Alcorn County engineer at the month’s first supervisor meeting, company President Kent Geno said his staff is available to officials for any project where they might be helpful.
