Alcorn school district revises its dress code

By NEMS Daily Journal

CORINTH – The Alcorn County School Board on Monday adopted a revised dress code policy for the 2012-2013 school year.
The new policy makes rules consistent for all grades, said Superintendent Gina Smith.
For example, the length of shorts and skirts or dresses is specified in the policy, as are the rules about what shirts must be worn tucked in by males and when students must wear a belt with pants.
Copies of the new policy will be available at each school in the district, and also will be mailed home to parents of each student.
