CORINTH – Alcorn County is nearing the end of a five-year contract for servicing its computer equipment and will announce a bid process for a new system.
Premise Inc. of Tupelo currently services the county’s computers, and representative Brian Walls told the Board of Supervisors on Thursday that the equipment the county is using is mostly obsolete or soon will be.
New equipment will improve speed and capacity as well as save money over time, he said.
The board voted to advertise for bids based on specifications for an updated system.
