WIGGINS, Miss. (AP) — Authorities say they have seized 50 to 70 dogs at an alleged puppy mill in Stone County.
The alleged mill was raided Tuesday by deputies and officials with the Humane Society of South Mississippi.
HSSM spokeswoman Krystyna Szczechowski says the animals were sized as part of a cruelty investigation.
The HSSM did not say what breed of dogs were seized in the raid.
The animals were being taken to the Humane Society shelter in Gulfport.
