An Amory man has been charged in connection to a shooting that occurred earlier this month.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office arrested Johnny G. Justice, 45, of Amory on Wednesday. Justice is charged with two counts of aggravated assault.

The arrest was the result of an ongoing investigation into a shooting that happened in Monroe County on Jan. 4, when two subjects were shot in the Bigbee Community. The two victims are recovering from the incident.

Bond has not been set at this time for Justice, who is currently being housed at Monroe County Detention Center.
