Amory police looking for two subjects connected to Sunday night incident

Crime StockAMORY – The Amory Police Department received a call through Monroe County E911 on Sunday at 11:49 p.m. reporting a disturbance, according to a press release from the APD. The operator heard the disturbance of a female stating, “Don’t hit me” and then an abrupt sound that sounded like a gunshot. The call then went silent. Officers arrived on scene and the suspects had fled on foot through the back of the home where entry had been gained.

The APD needs the public’s help in locating two subjects allegedly connected to the case – a black female described as short heavy set with dark skin, wavy hair in a pony tailed who was armed with a handgun and a black male, whose face was partially covered, is believed to be in his mid- to late-20s with light skin. He was armed with a hammer.

The APD said more information will be supplied as the investigation continues.
