Amory school board OKs dual enrollment programs

By Monroe Journal

AMORY – The Amory school board approved a Dual-Enrollment Articulation Agreement between Amory School District and Mississippi University for Women.
Amory High School seniors and even some juniors who have fulfilled a certain number of core curriculum credits and who possess a GPA of 2.5 or higher will be eligible for dual-enrollment.
The courses will help students earn college credit as well as allow them to experience the college classroom.
Participants will complete college courses in the Learning Center at Amory High School, and an MUW professor will come to them.
Two courses will be offered, algebra in the fall semester and English composition in the spring.
