AMORY–The pit bulls confiscated during the arrest of Quincy Evans are a bittersweet subject for Amory Humane Society Director Terri Tucker.
amp”The adult pits we received were extremely aggressive to both the other animals at the shelter and humans as well, amp” Tucker said. amp”Unfortunately, we had to have the adults put down. This was a tough decision and something we never want to doamp”
The pit bull story does have a happy ending as the two pit puppies will be adopted and rehabilitated by some high-profile animal shelters.
amp”One of the puppies is being adopted by the place in California that took in some of the Michael Vick pits and the other pup is being picked up by the shelter in New York that also took in some of the Michael Vick pits. This is a happy ending to what could have been a very sad story, amp” Tucker said.amp”
