TUPELO – A 58-year-old Tupelo man died Tuesday from an apparent heart attack after an early morning car accident.
Police said around 7:45 a.m., a car driven by Mitchell Colburn ran a red light on Cliff Gookin Boulevard and hit a culvert, causing the vehicle to land upside down.
Colburn was helped from the vehicle and complained to police that he couldn’t breathe, and shortly afterward he became unresponsive.
He was taken to North Mississippi Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.
