JACKSON — College Savings Mississippi is awarding 10 $1,000 scholarships during the month of April, according to state Treasurer Lynn Fitch.
Fitch says K-12 classes in public and private schools in Mississippi whose students open the most number of Mississippi Affordable Colleges Savings plans will be eligible for the scholarships.
One student from each of the top 10 schools will be selected at random.
For a child to qualify, a parent or guardian can open a new MACS for a student attending a K-12 public or private school during the month of April. A plan can be started with as little as $25.
