Area city attorney won't seek selection

A new city attorney will be needed for Saltillo and Guntown next month when new boards of aldermen take office.
Jason Herring, who served as Saltillo’s city attorney for the past eight years and has served in Guntown the past four, said Tuesday night he will not seek appointments in either municipality again.
“It’s been an extremely positive experience and I’m excited about what the next board is going to do,” Herring said Tuesday.
