Area law enforcement officers seized about 50 marijuana plants growing just north of Saltillo early Wednesday morning.
Lee County Sheriff’s Deputies deputies, Guntown police officers and Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics agents found the plants off state Highway 145 near an abandoned feed barn.
Sheriff Harold Ray Presley estimated the plants, which were over 6-feet tall, would have produced roughly $80,000 worth of marijuana.
Presley said the case was still under investigation.
