Arizona man faces drug charges in Mississippi

TUPELO – An Arizona man was held Friday in the Lee County jail under a $25,000 bond as a result of a traffic stop made Thursday in Tupelo.
Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics Director Marshall Fisher said a narcotics agent stopped a 2002 gold Chevrolet Impala rented in Arizona for a traffic violation on U.S. Highway 78.
Fisher said a search of the vehicle led to the discovery of one-and-a-half ounces of cocaine inside the car and 11 pounds of marijuana in the vehicle’s spare tire. The drugs have an estimated street value of more than $10,000.
Agents charged the vehicle’s passenger, Travis Reed, 30, of Glendale, Ariz., with possession with intent to sell cocaine and possession with intent to sell marijuana.
