Armed robbery reported at Dollar General

Tupelo police and medics are on the scene of a reported armed robbery at the Dollar General located at 3309 McCullough Blvd.

According to the scanner, two employees were injured in the incident, which was called in around 9:50 p.m.

Police are describing the two suspects as black men about 5 feet, 10 inches tall. First suspect had a red hat, black bandana, grey long-sleeved shirt, black pants, white shoes. Second suspect had maroon hoodie, long-sleeve shirt, white bandana, black pants, black shoes and a black bag.

According to law enforcement on the scanner, a semiautomatic weapon was fired in the store.

The Dollar General in Shannon reported an armed robbery on Thursday.
