Assault case headed to grand jury

STARKVILLE, Miss. (AP) — An assault case involving a Mississippi State University student will be presented to an Okitbbeha County grand jury.

The Starkville Daily News (http://bit.ly/pNQnBX) reports 25-year-old William Daniel Prince of Starkville has been charged with aggravated assault. Authorities say Prince was arrested in the stabbing of Joseph Ryan Davis, another MSU student, outside of Rock Bottom Bar and Grill.

A judge set Prince’s bond at $50,000.

Police say Davis was stabbed during a fight at the bar. Police say Prince was arrested a few hours after the incident.

Davis is recovering from his injuries.
