ABERDEEN, Miss. (AP) — A Tupelo man charged with making pornographic material with a minor is scheduled for trial in August.
Steven Metcalf is facing two federal charges, using the minor to make images of sexually explicit conduct in July 2011 and with having pornographic images on his cellphone in September 2011. The 47-year-old Metcalf also is facing state charges for allegedly taking pictures of a 12-year-old girl.
Metcalf’s federal trial had been scheduled to begin next week in U.S. District Court in Aberdeen, but his attorney asked for more time to prepare.
Metcalf pleaded not guilty to the federal charges in March.
Kevin Payne, Metcalf’s attorney in the federal case, said Monday that he doesn’t comment on pending cases.
