Authorities arrest two after Monday shooting in Tupelo

Two suspects were arrested around 5:15 p.m., following a shooting in Tupelo earlier today.

An unidentified man was shot in the foot around 3:45 p.m. at an apartment complex at the corner of Jackson and Clayton streets.

The unidentified man’s injuries don’t appear to be life threatening, according to TPD Lt. Marty Mask.

After the shooting, police were on the lookout for a newer model black Chevrolet Impala with pink trim and 20-inch rims.

Police stopped the vehicle around 5:15 p.m. and arrested a male and a female, according to shift Lt. Brian Brown. Their names were not released.
