AUTHORITIES SEARCHING FOR MISSING WOMAN, CHILD

PEPPERTOWN – Itawamba County sheriff’s deputies are looking for a mother and her toddler who family members have not seen for almost two months.

Brenda Diane Lewis’ father filed a missing person report last week on his daughter and grandson, Billy Joe Sharpe. Itawamba County Deputy Charlie Justice said he ran down all the possible leads of where Lewis could be but came up with nothing. Lewis’ father told authorities that it was unlike his daughter to stay gone that long without contacting him.

Lewis is a 27-year-old, light-complexioned, white female with blond hair and blue eyes. She stands about 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs about 112 pounds. She is traveling with her 15-month-old son, who also has blond hair and blue eyes.

Justice said Lewis could possibly be with a man who is refusing to let her go.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is urged to call the Itawamba County Sheriff’s Department at 862-3401.
