OXFORD – David Vanness Broyles pleaded guilty to the March 2010 armed robbery of Cadence Bank in Aberdeen.
Broyles, 36, of Prairie was scheduled to go on trial July 25 but changed his plea during a hearing Friday.
In exchange, federal prosecutors agreed to drop the greater offense of brandishing a firearm in Count Two.
Broyles pleaded guilty to armed bank robbery and carrying a firearm in a crime of violence.
He faces up to life in prison and fines.
He will not be sentenced until a background investigation report is completed by the U.S. Probation Service.
