TUPELO – A limited number of tickets are on sale for downtown Tupelo’s Hops & Stops harvest beer tasting in November.
The event, organized by the Downtown Tupelo Main Street Association, is Nov. 4 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and will feature beer samples and paired appetizers at 13 downtown businesses. A commemorative beer glass is included with the ticket.
Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door, but Main Street officials encourage people to buy early.
“There’s no guarantee tickets will be available the day of,” said Allie West, a program associate at Main Street.
Hops & Stops is modeled after Wine Downtown, which the Main Street group coordinated in April. Tickets were capped at 200 and they sold out about a week before the event.
“We had a large demand for a similar event to the wine event we had in the spring,” West said. “We’re hoping to bring some more people downtown to shop and visit with our local businesses.”
West said the beer selection from Mitchell Distributing hasn’t been decided yet, but will be a mix of domestic and imported choices.
Two-ounce samples of the beers will be offered at the stops. The commemorative beer glass will be used for the tasting.
