BEHAVIORAL HEALTH ASSESSMENTS EXPANDED

North Mississippi Medical Center will expand its free behavioral health assessments to two of its sister hospitals beginning in April.

The assessments, already offered by NMMC’s Behavioral Health Center in Tupelo, will now be available at Clay County Medical Center in West Point and Iuka Hospital in Tishomingo County on Tuesdays and Thursdays respectively. Appointments are required, and the assessments will be made between 9 a.m. and noon at each location.

The assessments, which are available for all ages, involve a confidential interview with an assessment counselor to determine if a need exists for referral or admission for a behavioral health problem.

The free assessments already are available from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at NMMC’s Behavioral Health Center.

To schedule an appointment, call 1-800-442-2238.
