Belden man faces child porn charges

OXFORD – Bradley Pegues of Belden pleaded not guilty Wednesday to two federal counts of child pornography.
Pegues, 20, was charged Jan. 27 in a sealed indictment and entered his plea Wednesday before Magistrate S. Allan Alexander.
Prosecutors accuse Pegues of transporting alleged child pornography image files over the Internet Nov. 7 and possessing a computer hard drive that contained the images.
A March 21 trial date was set before U.S. District Judge W. Allen Pepper Jr. in Greenville.
Pegues is free on $20,000 bond. He is represented by Anthony Farese of Ashland.
He faces up to 30 years in prison and a $500,000 fine if convicted on all charges.
