BOONEVILLE – Daniel Wayne Green, 20, of Belmont, was sentenced to serve 15 years in prison after he pleaded guilty in Prentiss County Circuit Court on Thursday to a charge of culpable negligence manslaughter.

Green was charged in the Feb. 22, shooting death of Dillon James Radke, 21.

Green was sentenced by Judge James Roberts on a charge that carries a 20 year maximum sentence, said a district attorney spokesman.

The two men had been drinking with other friends and apparently began “horsing around” with a gun, said Sheriff Randy Tolar, which led to Radke’s death.

Radke was pronounced dead at the scene. Green had fled on foot following the shooting, and deputies were unable to locate him that night.

However, he turned himself in to authorities the following day.
