From Press Release ….
JACKSON, Miss. — Ellen Russell of Pontotoc and Mickey Howley of Water Valley have been elected by fellow Main Street Managers and Members to the Mississippi Main Street Association (MMSA) Board of Directors.
Russell has been elected to serve for the first time and replaces Lise Foy of Canton. Howley has been re-elected to serve another term on the statewide board.
MMSA has traditionally designated two positions on the board for manager representatives. The manager representatives are nominated and elected by their statewide peers to represent the interests of local Main Street programs to the MMSA board and staff.
Walk-through: The Flower Shack 10/9/12
We stumbled upon The Flower Shack Boutique earlier this month in Tupelo.
It’s between Kyoto and the temporary Halloween store in the shopping center anchored by Hancock Fabrics and Ashley.
Manager Alia Hodnett tells us the store has been open since April 1. It previously was Saltillo Flowers & Gifts, but she said it moved so it could have a bigger space.
The store sells artwork and custom home decor, like monogrammed door signs.
Alexis Glidwells is the owner. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to 7ish on Fridays and Saturdays.
