Downtown tea room now open in Tupelo
The Tea for T’Arts Tearoom is now open.
The tea room opened inside His Hers Antiques & Collectibles earlier this month.

The tea room offers savory and sweet sandwiches and tarts from 11 a.m. to 4:30pm Tuesday through Saturday.
The business has a private room to accommodate groups.
New froyo store to open in Tupelo
Extreme Yogurt is opening up next to Mt. Fuji in the King’s Crossing shopping center.
Marcus Harris is the owner of the Tupelo business. He also owns Extreme Heat Tanning, which is next door.
No word when the business will open, but the inside looks pretty close to being finished.
The store is set up with self-serve frozen yogurt containers in the back and toppings dispensers closer to the register.
Elvis Fest named a Top Event for 2012

The Tupelo Elvis Festival was recently selected as one of the Southeast Tourism Society’s Top 20 Events for 2012.
In 2010, nearly 10,000 attendees traveled from 21 states and five foreign countries to come to Tupelo with an estimated direct economic impact of $1,454,889.21.
Since 1985 the Southeast Tourism Society has published the Top 20 Events each year.
Each month, hundreds of the best events across the Southeast can compete to be named a Top 20 Event.
C Spire set to expand mobile broadband area
C Spire Wireless announced Monday the expansion of its high-speed wireless mobile broadband services to more than 1.3 million consumers and businesses.
The company plans to expand mobile broadband coverage to 238 cell sites in portions of Mississippi, Alabama and Tennessee by the end of this year as part of its continuing network expansion and readiness efforts for introduction of 4G LTE services.
Last month, C Spire announced a $90 million network expansion program.
As part of Monday’s announcement, the company is spending an additional $10 million to expand its mobile broadband services in 61 cities and 65 counties.
Since 2003, C Spire has invested more than $1 billion in network infrastructure improvements.
