Biz Buzz: Former Piggly Wiggly in Saltillo to become…

By Dennis Seid/NEMS Daily Journal

Former Piggly Wiggly in Saltillo will become a grocery store; specifically, it will become a Save-A-Lot, in the Center City Market in Saltillo.

The owners will be Scotty Runions and Keith Reynolds, who plan to open the store in late March or early April.

Runions said equipment has been ordered for the store, although there is some left when it was a Piggly Wiggly under former owner Jay Shannon.

He plans to employ 16 to 20 people at the store, which will be open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day of the week.

Hiring is expected to begin sometime next month, he said.
