Tupelo hotel group buys Old Venice

Old Venice Pizza Company, Tupelo’s premier Italian eatery is now under new management and ownership. The restaurant, located on McCullough Boulevard is known for its updated and casual family dining as well as its lively bar.

The new owners, associated with Fusion Hospitality of Tupelo, have planned renovations to update the restaurant and add seating capacity.

New restaurant coming to Mall at Barnes Crossing

The former Flat Tire Grille/Varsity Grille/Ruby Tuesday in The Mall at Barnes Crossing will be replace in November by …. A Mexican restaurant.

The owner of D’Casa, which already has a location on West Main Street, is set to open in early November, said Phillip Purdom, senior vice president of development and mall leasing for David Hocker & Associates, the co-owner of the mall.

“We’re really excited to have them and we think they’ll be highly successful,” he said.

Purdom also said more news would be coming in regards to new tenants coming to the mall, but couldn’t yet elaborate.

“There will be three major announcement we’ll be making soon,” he said.
