Blue Springs Day will benefit tornado victims

Blue Springs Day will be held on Saturday, June 25, in downtown Blue Springs from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Musical Guests will include Kerry Lynch, Lynda Gannon, John Gooch and Mary Clayton, Heaven’s Highway, Chris Rakestraw, Joey Mask, Nathan Allen, Spirit Lead and MS98.
Union County Search and Rescue and Southeast Fire Department will be there and activities will include music, medical assessment; games, face painting, cake walk, a jump house and sheriff candidates speaking.
They will be selling T-shirts – $10 (S,M,L,XL) and $12 (XXL & XXXL) – and raffling off the following: seat covers from Sportsman Camo Covers, Ecru; a recliner from Albany Industries; front end alignment and oil change from DC Service; fish cooker from Dowdle Gas; two $50 gas cards from Gentry’s Grocery; $50 worth of groceries from Redline Market in Sherman; $50 gas card from Wild Bill’s; $25 gift certificate from Union County Feed and Seed; free balance and tire rotation from Wood’s Tire & ATV; and $25 gift card from Walmart.
Tickets are $2.00 or 3 for $5.00. All proceeds are going to the Town of Smithville following the devastating April 27 tornado.
