BMC president slated to speak at ICC graduation

FULTON – Dr. Bettye Rogers Coward, president of Blue Mountain College, will deliver the commencement address at Itawamba Community College on May 14 at 7 p.m. at the Davis Event Center on the Fulton campus.
Coward is the first female president of Blue Mountain College. During almost 10 years she leading Blue Mountain College, Coward has been involved in the school becoming a fully-integrated coeducational institution after 133 years, the approval of the first graduate program at the college and the establishment of the first intercollegiate athletics program for men.
About 600 students will receive associate’s degrees or certificates. ICC’s associate degree nursing students will participate in the annual pinning ceremony May 13 at 6 p.m. at the Davis Event Center.
