Bond set at $1 million in toddler death case

TUPELO – Bond for Andrew D. Owens was set at $1 million Wednesday. He is accused in the July 2 death of his girlfriend’s 2-year-old son.
He is charged with depraved heart murder of the child, Kamri Stoby, who reportedly died of blunt force trauma.
Owens, 27, of Shannon, was arrested late Tuesday.
Officials say his case will be presented to the Oct. 24 grand jury.
