Bond set for suspect in Starkville party shooting

STARKVILLE — Bond has been set at $300,000 for a suspect in a weekend shooting during a graduation party at a Starkville night club in which one person was killed and three others injured.

Dennis Thompson is charged with one count of murder and three counts of aggravated assault. The 18-year-old Thompson appeared Monday in Starkville Municipal Court.

Authorities say 25-year-old Curtis “C.K.” Randle of Starkville died at the scene of the shooting about 1 a.m. Saturday at the 124 Place Special Event Center.

Three others were wounded during the incident.

The Starkville Daily News reports that Municipal Judge Rodney Faver scheduled a status hearing for June 7 to time for Thompson’s family to hire an attorney.
