BOONEVILLE — Booneville’s driver’s license office is currently closed, but the situation is expected to only be temporary.
The Daily Corinthian reports that the closing is part of the Highway Patrol’s consolidation and closing of several satellite driver’s license offices across the state.
Patrol spokesman Trooper Ray Hall says while the Booneville office is currently closed, plans are to reopen one day a week when a new location is found.
Main license offices are New Albany, Tupelo and Corinth and are open five days a week.
The Highway Patrol also offers the option to renew driver’s licenses online.
