CORINTH – Additional charges are expected to be filed today against a Prentiss County man held in Alcorn County jail for a Saturday shooting in Corinth.

No one was injured when Herman Lee Shook, 37, of County Road 8525, Booneville, allegedly shot at a vehicle outside the Malco Theater in Corinth Saturday, beside which his estranged wife was standing, with two small children inside, said Corinth Det. Capt. Ralph Dance.

Shook was picked up Monday afternoon by the Prentiss County Sheriff’s Office and transferred to the Corinth Police Department, where he was charged with one count of aggravated assault.

No bond has been set for the Corinth charge, Dance said, and he expects to file two additional charges of aggravated assault today.

Shook is out on bond in Prentiss County for a charge of sexual battery, and Dance said he expects the bond in that case will be revoked.
