Booneville man sentenced in cocaine, pot sale conspiracy

ABERDEEN – A Booneville man was sentenced Wednesday in the Northern District Court of Mississippi in Aberdeen after pleading guilty to his involvement in a conspiracy to sell cocaine and marijuana.

Shawn Brown, 39, of Booneville, was given 100 months in prison with an additional three years of supervised release.

He was charged in December 2012, along with nine other people, in a conspiracy to distribute cocaine and marijuana throughout the northeast Mississippi region.

Brown is the seventh of the 10 to be sentenced.
