Booneville teen formally charged in stabbing

A Booneville teen has been formally charged in last week’s stabbing of a Tupelo teen.

Dallas D. Wynn, 18, of 187A Prentiss County Road 5051, Booneville, was formally charged with aggravated assault in connection with the Nov. 24 stabbing of Mickey Williams, 17, of Belden at a Lee County Road 151 residence, said Lt. Terry Jones, Lee County sheriff’s department chief investigator.

Williams, whose mother filed the affidavit against Wynn, was cut on the head and treated with stitches, Jones said.

Three other Booneville teens, who were taken into custody with Wynn, have been released without any charges filed against them, Jones said.

Wynn’s bond was set at $10,000. Wynn previously was charged with simple assault of the police officer and misdemeanor failure to obey a law officer.
