Bowling arraigned on eight counts in Monroe County Circuit Court

Former Smithville football coach Dwight Bowling was arraigned today in Monroe County Circuit Court on eight counts by Judge James L. Roberts.

The charges against Bowling in Monroe County are: (3) Counts of Fondling (2) Counts of Sexual Battery (2) Counts of Child Exploitation (1) Count of Bribery of a Witness

The arraignment stems from an indictment against Bowling on the eight charges by the Monroe County Grand Jury.

Bowling’s attorney, Christi McCoy of Oxford, entered a plea of not guilty on all counts.

Bowling was represented in court Wednesday by attorney Lori Basham who was filling in for McCoy.

His next appearance in Monroe County Circuit Court is February 7.
